How do I lower my exhaust?

This video depicts the necessary techniques to lower your exhaust when installing a trailer hitch.

"To lower the exhaust, you want to separate the rubber isolators from the exhaust hanger rod. To do this, spray lubricant or a soapy water mixture on to each side of the isolators for easy removal. Then use a pry bar as a lever to separate the rubber isolator from the exhaust hanger rod. It is always a good idea to support your exhaust system when lowering. Use a wire hanger to support the exhaust from hanging freely."

Tools Required:

  • Lubricant
  • Pry Bar
